Abstract
The Macau government's investment in infrastructure projects this year will be a planned 853.7 million patacas (1 patacas = HK$1), a 415% rise from 1988's 205.45 million patacas
According to Jose Manuel Machado, Secretario-adjunto para os Transportes e Obras Publicas (Under-secretary for Transport and Public Works), the goal of such investments is "to reinforce Macau's automony with its neighbours (ie, China and Hong Kong) in communication / travel routes and to improve the quality of its citizens' standard of living."
澳門政府今年計劃投資八億正千三百七十澳門 (一澳門元約兌一港元) 於基建工程中， 是八八年二億零五百四十萬元的四倍多。
