Abstract
It is incredible to think that Hong Kong is home to more American trained architects than any other city outside the US. This was brought home by Nelson Chen, outgoing president of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Hong Kong Chapter at the professional body's annual awards held in December. Their numbers amount to 125 to be exact, and this was reflected in the response to the first ever AIA Hong Kong Honor Awards in Architecture, Interiors and Urban Design for projects completed in Hong Kong, China and the Asia Pacific region.
