Abstract
China's rich cinema history is set to be showcased in the country's first dedicated exhibition venue - the Chinese Museum of Film in Beijing. The museum is designed to introduce China's cinematic traditions and filmmakers to international audiences.
US-based international architects RTKL Associates have designed the project in a jount-venture with the Beijing Institute of Architectural Design and Research, and construction began in December. The estimated cost of development is RMB333 million (HK$313.7 million) and completion is scheduled for October 2005.
