Quantum meruit

Abstract
In construction disputes it is common for the claimants to threaten a quantum meruit. A quantum meruit claim provides a remedy for a person who has carried out work where no price has been agreed, or where the original contract has been replaced by a new one and payment is claimed for work done under the substituted contract.
