Abstract
Although alchemy, the ancient belief that a base metal could be turned into a precious one, was long ago discredited as fallacy, it seems there has been some creative chemistry going on in contemporary Brazil, thanks to design duo the Campana Brothers. Yet their magic is not just about the physical transformation of an object, but a sort of practical science broadly defined by the way people relate to objects, to each other and to the world they inhabit.
