Abstract
With hidden treasures lurking down tiny side streets, the Queen's Road East district of Wan Chai has always been a Mecca for the furniture aficionado. From the cheap and cheerful to the weird and wonderful, a stroll around this dense thoroughfare takes many a bargain hunter up hills, beyond temples and past small cafes in the quest to root out a tasty piece of rattan or a nice chaise lounge. Yet now the fashion-factor of the area is starting to grow as high end, lifestyle-oriented furniture stores start to move in. Hinge spoke to a few relative newcomers to see if this could be the beginning of a larger trend…
