Abstract
How fares the organisation once - slightlly unfairly - dubbed "Lame Duck"? Words and action plans and glossy brochures are one thing. Concrete results quite another. The LDC has a good measure of both and the latter are now hogging the limelight. (1) What are your duties as a Board Member? (2) What do you personally feel you can contribute with you experience? (3) In the time that you have sat on the LDC what would you say is its greatest success? (4) Is there anything which could be done to speed up the LDC's progress? (5) With the finance that the new projects in Central will generate is there a swifter future for the LDC? (6) Do you have a special role on the LDC board? (7) Is there a specific example of the way your expertise has been put to good use? (8) From the work that you've done so far with the LDC what would you say is its most positive contribution to Hong Kong?" (9) Of its more public successes, Western Market is very obvious, are there any others which stand out? (10) What plans do you have for the future with the money generated by these large-scale projects? (11) Would the LDC be able to operate more efficiently if it had greater powers? (12) Could this process be speeded up? (13) As an architect how do you view the work of the LDC?
