Abstract
When DuPont Corian was first introduced to designers over 30 years ago it was widely acclaimed as the new 'miracle material'. Back then in 1967 its usage was limited to the ultra upscale kitchen countertops, always in gleaming white. Nowadays, increased competitiveness as a result of more advanced and efficient production technology means that just about anybody can own up to caressing a Corian surface (in 100 possible colours) whether it's in fast-food restaurants or upscale fashion boutiques.
