Abstract
Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Co Ltd (HAECO) has invested US$141 million to construct a 3-bay jumbo jet hangar at Hong Kong's new airport at Chek Lap Kok as its new aircraft base maintenance facility. One major feature of this project is that the hangar consists of a steel frame with a cantilever roof, which will allow the working space inside the hangar to be column-free.
