Abstract
Fire Prevention has brought new challenges for designers and architects. Existing standards have inhibited the use of many materials, thereby limiting the resources to give buildings that certain je ne sais quoi.
As Bob Neville reports, however, new technology is starting to give designers more scope while still meeting fire safety requirements.
