Sensory perception in healthcare: "Patients... heal thyself"

Abstract
Can we think ourselves well? Do we have the stuff that Hippocrates over 2000 years ago called,"true healers of disease"? Indeed, the mental capacity enabling human beings to be self-healing is a growing body of scientific discovery. This view combined with recent evidence, maintaining that environmental factors, affect the actions and mental wellness of patients, supports an emerging medical science, which views the mind and body as one. Summarising it best is the position of the Institute of Noetic Sciences:"Health increasingly will be seen as both a physical state and a set of attitudes, both of which are irrevocably interdependent."
