Abstract
Phase I of the Mei Lam Estate was completed in January 1982, and in that year it won a Certificate of Merit from the Hong Kong Institute of Architects. However, it has been widely criticised as well as praised. The AAC sent Phil Cohen to look at Mei Lam, and to talk to its Housing Department Architect, John Ng.
