Abstract
One can cite increasingly numerous examples where the commercial side of the design industry has pulled a philanthropic face by supporting the future of design. Whether these are genuine acts of benevolence or a strategy to promote greater credibility and prowess amongst the design community, is a matter of argument. However when the end result exposes the unseen talents of tomorrow's designers, the Heimtextil Asia Asiaflor 99 Interior Design Competition should be considered a stroke of genius.
