Abstract
Rapidly increasing air traffic in Southeast Asia has given rise to a large crop of airport projects in the region. By 1997, the Pearl River Delta will have at least three airports within a 400 km radius: Shenzhen Airport in the southern Chinese City of the same name, Chek Lap Kok Airport in Hong Kong, and Macau International Airport in the Portuguese colony.
