Abstract
International design firm RMJM was chosen to participate in a master plan for the preservation and modernisation of the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, in collaboration with the Hermitage/UNESCO partnership. Three major architectural projects have been proposed to improve the material performance of the buildings, in line with other organisational changes designed to prepare the museum for the 21st century.
