Abstract
The shop which Chinese Arts and Crafts (H.K.) Ltd. took over in August 1988, from Artland Arts & Craft Co., in the prestigious China Resources Building, had been completed in 1983. Their decision to renovate and make the location their flagship operation was swift and decisive - and, accordingly, left relatively little time to complete what, by any stretch of the imagination, must be considered an intricate and large-scale project, and one which needed to meet a target date of a pre-Chinese New Year re-opening ('89). The re-fitting was undertaken in record time by TAOHO Design Architects, (TDA) with visual results which were sensitively attuned to every nuance of the brief.
