Abstract
The 28-storey Railway Plaza rising on Chathan Road South in Tsim Sha Tsui features a unique fan-shaped external design with glass and granite external walls. Inside, the building offers an open and columnless interior and provide various advanced facilities.
Sung Foo Kee Ltd was awarded the $200 million contract to build the substructure and superstructure of Railway Plaza. Works began on the 1,424 sq m site on 10 July 1993 and will be finished in August 1994.
28層高的鐵路大廈聳立於尖沙咀漆咸道南。大廈外型採用扇型設計, 外牆以花崗石及銀灰色玻璃幕牆舖砌; 而內部建築為開放式無柱空間結構, 令大廈間格劃分更靈活。此外, 更為客戶提供多種先進設備以配合現代化辦公室需求。
孫福記營造有限公司奪得價值2億元合約, 負責興建鐵路大廈的地基工程及上蓋建築。工程已於93年7月10日展開, 將於今年8月完工。地盤面積達1,424 sq m。
