Abstract
Far East Aluminium Works Company was first established in 1969 and the business was incorporated in 1977 as Far East Aluminium Works Co Ltd. After years of growth and expansion, the Company has developed from a small aluminium windows contractor into a multinational enterprise with more than 650 staff. In 1991, its then newly incorporated holding company, Far East Aluminium (Holdings) Limited, successfully went public and has since become a listed company in Hong Kong.
In May 1999, china National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation succssfully acquired a controlling interest in Far East Aluminium (Holdings) and has since become its controlling shareholder. In August of the same year, Far East Aluminium (Holdings) changed its name to CATIC International Holdings Limited.

遠東鋁質工程公司自1969年創立, 並於1977年註冊成為有限公司。公司自成立以來, 不斷茁壯成長, 由一間小型公司發展至今為擁有超過650名員工之跨國企業, 更於1991年透過新成立之控股公司遠東鋁質(集團)有限公司("遠東鋁質集團")成功招股, 躋身香港上市公司行列。
自1999年5月, 中國航空技術進出口總公司成功收購遠東鋁質集團, 成為控權股東。於同年8月, 遠東鋁質集團並更改名稱為中國航空技術國際控股有限公司。
