Abstract
From a number of different sources, we have been hearing 'horror stories' about the standard of maintenance and care of diesel equipment on Asian sites. As a result of this we will be using these pages to introduce tips and ideas to make your maintenance procedures more effective. These tips come from a range of sources including manufacturers of equipment and other concerned people. In this month's issue, we consider the problems of caring for equipment in the cold winters that affect the northern regions of those countries in the north of the Asian region. These tips come from equipment specialists at the International-Hough division od Dresser Industries.
