Abstract
Anyone would be mistaken in thinking that this is the latest newly fangled revolutionary idea to break the design barrier but the fact is, Svoboda has been doing it since 1911. They've just been hiding out in Austria for a while and finally realised that it is possible to be unique, and a world leader, without becoming a faceless giant. This month saw the formation of the Svoboda / Decca partnership in Hong Kong. The licensed deal gives Richard Herbst, director of renowned Hong Kong furniture manufacturer Decca Ltd, the go ahead to produce the Svoboda range of standardised and custom designed workstation solutions from their production plant in China.
