Abstract
From March 6 to March 10, the Hotel and Building Expo '84 is to be held in Guangzhou (Canton). This show is designed to be an international showcase of building materials, hotel and amusement park equipment and other related equipment. It is targetted at the building and tourism industries in China (PRC) with a view to presenting a wide range of equipment and materials and enabling the Chinese visitors to evaluate and purchase the necessary equipment, update building practices, and improve operations and facilities. Asian Architect and Contractor will be a sponsoring publication of the Expo and the following supplement gives background to the market, the Expo and the associated conference. (For those not able to attend this show, the following could be considered as a guide to the fastest growing market in the region.
