Abstract
Swire Properties is one of Hong Kong's pionners in introducing environmental elements in residential properties. Long before its participation in the Integer Hong Kong Pavilion, the developer introduced features such as landscaped gardens and balconies in its Taikoo Shing residential project, which celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2001. Sky gardens, roof gardens, private gardens and two-storey high windows can be found at The Albany, a development from the late 1980s. More recently, the Ocean Shores project at Tseung Kwan O has 120,000 sq ft of landscaped garden and The Orchards residential development continues a tradition of creating a quality living environment with green features such as balconies, sky gardens, enhanced natural ventilation, refuse separation and extensive landscaping.
