Abstract
The uninitiated could be forgiven if they assumed they had entered an architectural fantasy land while taking a walk-about in Canberra's embassy neighbourhood. The tour would pass a Papua New Guinean long-house, the graceful curves of upturned eves on the golden Thai embassy and Balinese gods guarding the Indonesian compound.
