Abstract
There's a gaxillion and one ways to add character to an interior space, and if you pace up and down your floor long enough you may be walking on the answer. Just like art, furniture, lighting and sanitaryware, carpet has long been a versatile component that provides aesthetic pleasure and comfort. As carpet fibre manufacturer Antron expresses it, the product is a symbol of "infinite" creative possibilities, style in colour and patterens as well as technical superiority and performance". Antron creates carpet fibre under the name Invista, built on DuPont innovation. Its carpet competitions, The Antron Design Award Asia Pacific annually pays tribute to these ideals, bringing dimension (not to mention recognition) to this specific sector and the designers who incorporate the product into their projects. With the winners announced in May this year, hinge zooms in on this year's crop of talent from Asia.
