Abstract
The original Hong Kong Electric Headquarters was completed in 1971 and was formed like a monolithic Chinese gate capped by two immense sculpted sails. Echoing the earlier design direction toward traditional influences, architects Kohn Pedersen Fox have produced a new design rooted in the past yet rising into a solid contemporary form.
