Abstract
Each year, the Swire School of Design at Hong Kong Polytechnic, welcomes 20 design ugly ducklings for the three year BA Hons Interior Design course. In that period, the same brood are put through a rigorously demanding programme which sees them emerge as highly skilled, highly sought-after professional swans.
