Abstract
Throughout Asia, throughout 1993, scarcely a week has gone by without news of some new hotel project or venture hitting the headlines. Bigger, better or "nicher", there always seems to be an opening for a few hundred more beds. China is the obvious place to invest, and it is no surprise that six of the hotels featured in this supplement were built in the PRC. But the rest of the region is following suit - is there no end to hotel building? The answer seems to be - "No, not just yet". Some of the world's major players are maneuvering hard to get into Asia, and specifically China, while the time is ripe.
