Abstract
If doubt has ever been thrown on Hong Kong's ability to do-things big, the Tsing Ma Bridge should cause it to be consigned to the dust bin, because its 2,200-m overall length and 1,377-m clear span will make it the world's second-longest suspension bridge and the longest carrying both road and rail traffic.
香港一直以來都缺少一項值得向世界誇耀的基礎工程，當青馬大橋在九七年落成時，香港終可擁有一條跨度全球第二的巨型吊橋。
