Abstract
Secretaru for Planning, Environment and Lands Graham Barnes met with the press in January as the Government moved into action on its Metroplan scheme of urban renewal and expansion. Basically the second of three steps being taken by the Department - an outline plan was published in April 1988 and a final plan will be brought out by the end of 1990 - the exercise included two booklets, Metroplan - Initial Option and Metroplan - the Foundations and Framework.
