Abstract
The expression "intelligent building" has been used with increasing frequency in the terminology of modern urban architecture. Intelligence, as ever, demands a price, and, even now, that price is beginning to be expressed in ailments which are peculiar to the breed. At the lowest end of the spectrum (not even strictly qualifying as "intelligent" buildings, merely as service - oriented ones) can be "sick building" syndromes and its best known symptom "Legionnaires Disease." Now, a truly high tech ailment is beginning to affect our buildings "Electromagnetic Pollution."
