Abstract
Overcoming adversity through design appeared to be the theme that most influenced the judging in the 1990 Hong Kong Institute of Architects awards programme, although the HKIA presented only a Silver Medal and two Certificates of Merit awards.
In speaking of the projects that were submitted, the panel of judges was of the opinion that they all "appear to be well-representative of the advancement of architecture in its design aspects."
