Abstract
"It takes up too much valuable space … expensive to build and install … redundant … people just will not use it … a waste of money … inconvenient … dangerous to let them use by themselves … a danger to them and to many other children."
The comments go on and on, and each day brings more reasons that seek to prevent certain groups of our population - in particular, the physically and mentally disadvantaged - from becoming self-reliant, independent and equal.
Where, in the name of the handicapped, Joseph Kwan asks, are equality and equal opportunity and what's been included in the Bill of Rights specifically for them?
