Abstract
The Island Shangri-La Hotel is situated above the architectural pendant of Pacific Place. The structure has a small perimeter floor area with awkward shapes and corners. This did little to distract the owner from his concept of a dream hotel. For interior designers Leese Robertson Freeman Designers Ltd., the challenge lay in creating an overall classical theme that would evoke the romantic elegance of old Parisian hotels. The interior was consequently detailed by treating each space in a distinct way.
