Abstract
The style of curved-facade, pillared architecture that flourished during the Golden Age of the 1920s in American resort cities like Miami, Floria, and which then disappeared in the bland Modernism of the 1960s, has re-emerged in a modified form in Hong Kong instructures like the Yau Yat Chuen Garden City Club, which serves the residents of adjacent Yau Yat Chuen neighbourhood. (1) Symmetry, not symmetrical (2) Influences and precedents (3) Designing an external space (4) Deco Art as interior (5) Other thoughts
