Abstract
Amidst all the gimmicks and visual noise, it takes a lot to grab the attention of the discerning New York restaurant-goer. At Café Society, interior designer Tony Chi and his associate, Albert Chen, have managed to do so by utilizing dramatic "architectural" lighting to exploit the expansive volume of space. The loft space with its decorative inspirations of Art Deco and Viennese appear new and exciting without the limited appeal of something trendy.
