Abstract
"The Reclamation development provides the opportunity of promoting strong urban design initiatives, reflecting the opportunities available in a relatively unconstructed area whilst respecting the notion of urban design as a mechanism for 'ordering' the layout. This should also maximise benefits to the wider environment outside the limited capacity of each individual site. The size of the reclamation in total, is sufficient to enable its full site development potential to be exploited whilst enabling it to fit into the wider urban framework, and achieve a level of coherence and identity at the 'cell' or district level."
