Abstract
Japanese by race, brought up and educated in Canada, graduated from the University of Manitoba in Canada, then went on to Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the States. He is one of the former partners of Palmer and Turner (now called P&T Architects and Engineers Ltd.) and the legendary architect behind the numerous projects in Central, which contributed in creating the cosmopolitan image of Hong Kong. His works include Connaught Center (currently named Jardine House), the Hilton Hotel, the Landmark and Alexandra House, just to name a few.
