Abstract
Jose E. Cabanting, a professional engineer, is Managing Director of the basic Contractors, Inc., Pasig, Metro Manila. For over 15 years, he has been responsible for writing all building specifications of projects built and designed by his Company; has served the Private Construction Committee of Philippine Constructors Assn., which studied and recommended changes in Document 301 (General Conditions) of the United architects of the Philippines. He holds B.S. (civil and sanitary engineering) and M.S. (sanitary-environmental engineering) degrees from National University, Manila, and is presently completing his Ph.D. degree in Management at the Adamson Graduate School of Management, Manila.
