Cabanting, a professional engineer, is Managing Director of The Basic Contractors, Inc., Pasig, Metro Manila. He has written articles on construction management, building estimating and bidding strategy, construction economics and construction methods. He holds degrees in civil and Sanitary engineering, including a M.S. degree in Sanitary Environmental Engineering from the National University, Manila, and is presently completing his Ph.D. degree in Management at Adamson Graduate School of Management, Manila. He was formerly a professor of Construction Management at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
