中國建築特徵: 一個世紀的追求 The serah for Chinese identity

Abstract
本文將二十世紀以來中國建築特徵的設計實踐分為四類:1)民族形式;2)地方或?土主義;3)國際關注;4)中國空間體驗。作者認為,從本國本地區的實際技術條件、客觀情況出發而設計,在今天依舊有其存在的必要和合理性。其方法可能成為中國建築走向真實、坦誠、獨特的希望所在。
This essay tries to categorize the practice of pursing Chinese architectural identity into four types as follows, 1) "national form"; 2) (neo-)vernacular and/or regionalism; 3) contemplation from overseas and 4) China's spatial experiences. In the high wave of globalization, the search for Chinese identity may lead the country toward an authentic and unique state.
