Abstract

Whilst this is a controversial statement, architects are exposed to a lot of possibilities today in the integration of engineering and architectural design to create buildings and built environment that fulfil the following areas of effectiveness: (1) Energy efficiency (2) Constructability (3) Cost Control (4) Building maintenance and life span (5) Integrated Engineering of the Buidling Envelope: Selective-Permeable Vs Insulated Skin (6) Integrated Engineering of the Internal Environment (7) Integrated Engineering of the Landscaped/External built Environment (8) Conclusion
