Abstract
It was probably only a matter of time before Richard Rogers received the architectural world's equivalent of the Nobel Prize, the Pritzker. This year the 73-year-old joins the ranks of his former teacher at Yale University, the late James Stirling, erstwhile business partner Norman Foster, and Zaha Hadid, to become the fourth laureate from Britain. The honour follows on the heels of another awarded to Rogers just months ago: the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement.
