Abstract
The Renaissance Italian statesman and political philosopher Niccolo Machiavelli states in his short political treatise The Prince that "one change always leaves the way prepared for the introduction of another." Decades of experience in designing educational institutions helped me understand that Machiavelli counld have been a good institutional architect because the acknowledgement of and preparation for change are crucial to institutional architecture.
