Abstract
Through its involvement in numerous strategic and local planning studies undertaken for Government since the late 1970s, Urbis has played a major role in helping the Government formulate the landscape and recreational strategic planning framework for the New Territories. Following on from this work, the company has carried out the detailed design of a large number of public parks and open spaces in Tai Po, Sha Tin, Fanling/Sheung Shui, Tsuen Wan, Kwai Chung and Tuen Mun.
Two recent examples of such public open spaces are Tsing Yi Town Park and Tak Wah Street Park, Phase 2, which illustrate two contrasting landscape styles.
