Abstract
From vantage points around London a new landmark can be seen emerging on the landscape. Britain's contribution to the turn-of-the-century celebrations, The Millennium Dome is now taking shape in the south-east of London only kilometres from Greenwich Observatory. The controversial project is both challenging and innovative in terms of design chosen, technology used, and construction processes required. Katharine Willis reports.
