Abstract
The Center on Queens Road, Central, is an enigmatic, new building. One of the most advanced technologically in the world, it has a distinctive, ultra-modern design. While it will meet all the commercial considerations expected of a modern Hong Kong building in a prime location, it also retains elements of traditional Chinese architecture. Robert Cairns spoke to the building's architect, Dennis Lau, and the main contractors.
