Abstract
Like so many cities experiencing growth, Guangzhou is suffering from traffic congestion, the by-product of a burgeoning economy and higher standard of living. A logical conclusion to the need for traffic-flow separation is to go down, which is exactly what the Guangzhou Metro (mass transit railway) system will do.
廣州市是華南最大的政治，經濟，文化中心，近年經濟發展迅速，在城市基礎建設未能及時配合下，產生連串不良後遺症，交通濟塞即為其中之一。為進一步改善投資環境，興建廣洲地鐵已是刻不容緩。
