Abstract
The imposing 88-storey Jin Mao Tower is the tallest skyscraper in China and third tallest in the world. It is a spectacular structure that brings together the contrasts of Shanghai - futuristic development and echoes of the art deco heritage in this, China's most cosmopolitan city.
The US $540 million project was developed by China Shanghai Foreign Trade Centre Company Limited. Standing 420.5 meters in height, the tower boasts 52 floors of office space and houses. The Grand Hyatt's deluxe hotel from floors 53 to 67.
