Abstract
Tokyo is a city proud of its efficiency and Asian chaotic accumulation, yet at the same time one still beset by typical urban problems such as large quantities of waste, energy consumption, shortage of residential areas and traffic congestion. Also typical is the lack of settlement in the cultural centres due to high costs of housing, while its traditional semi-defined border conditions are slowly being eliminated by contemporary redevelopment projects.
