Abstract
In the last edition the provisions for statutory adjudication currently in force in the UK under Part II of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act (1996) were reviewed along with the aims and objectives of the provisions; these provisions have now been in operation in the UK for just over three years. In this article, Peter O'Brien of James R Knowles (Hong Kong ) Limited will review just how far statutory adjudication has achieved its stated aims and whether such a scheme could be used in Hong Kong.
